Studio Policies

Practice

To learn any instrument well, you must practice a minimum of 5 days a week, preferably every day. Your required practice time shall be equal to your lesson length. For example, if your lesson is 30 minutes, your required practice time each day shall be 30 minutes. If a student is NOT meeting the minimum requirements of practice, the student will be dismissed from the studio.

Tuition/ Cancellations

Tuition is due at the first lesson of every month. ALL LESSONS SHALL BE PAID FOR, including the lessons the student does not attend. When you enroll for the year you have a designated time slot that is only yours and cannot be filled. I understand that there are emergencies or sickness, so there will be 1 makeup day each month for those that had to miss a lesson. It will be the responsibility of the student/ parent to schedule the make up lesson.

Studio Conduct

• Please arrive at your lesson 5 minutes early and have the instrument prepared and ready to go

• Bring ALL required materials to EVERY lesson: notebook, music books, rosin, shoulder rest, etc..

• Keep those fingernails short!

• No food or drinks are permitted inside the studio, excluding water

• No chewing gum during lessons

• Siblings are welcome, but please ensure that the studio environment is kept quiet and free of distractions.
